Theale Golf Club is committed to ensure that the sport of golf is one within which children and young people involved can thrive and flourish in a safe environment and that all children, young people and adults at risk have a fun, safe and positive experience when playing golf

Theale Golf Club is an affiliated member of England Golf and follows the England Golf Safeguarding Children and Young People Policy and procedures.

Safeguarding Adults

Theale Golf Club also follows the England Golf Adults Safeguarding Policy and procedures

Safeguarding duties apply to an adult who:

·      Has needs for care and support (whether or not the local authority is meeting any of those needs) and;

·      Is experiencing, or is at risk of, abuse or neglect; and;

·      As a result of those care and support needs is unable to protect themselves from either the risk of, or the experience of, abuse or neglect.

Club Welfare Officer

Helen Chalmers has been a member of the club for 3 years and works full time as a Headteacher where she is the Designated Safeguard Lead.

Helen has volunteered to take on the role as the Welfare Officer here at the club and continues to keep up to date with the legislation & guidance attending various workshops.
